Love is Love

For some time now "gay marriage" has been in the news and widely discussed in the hallways and meeting rooms of Parliament. I would be interested to know where the general public here in Cairns sit with regard to this issue. Personally I see no reason to stop anyone getting married no matter who they want to marry. I can't help but remember hearing stories from my Father and other elders about a time when they weren't allowed to go into a pub, weren't welcome in certain shops, swim in public pools, sit in certain areas on buses and in public all because they were considered to be different. In their case it was the colour of their skin so they were considered to be inferier, times have certainly changed since those days and they continue to evolve and I believe the same will happen with this subject.
