The Cardiac Challenge is an annual bike ride between Cairns and Cooktown raising money to improve cardiac equipment and services in Far North Queensland.
This annual cycling event, takes up to 350 cyclists from Cairns to Cooktown, over three days. During this time, cyclists and their supporters camp at designated locations along the way. From Mareeba, they ride in packs, escorted by escort vehicles front and rear, as well as pack leaders in each pack.
Catering is provided along the way and the ride is accompanied by fantastic medical and police support.
