Taylor Swift announces tour dates

It's not a real tour announcement, but Taylor Swift has scheduled two concerts for December at US radio stations.

Swift will perform at the San Jose radio station 99.7 Now!'s Poptopia on December 2 and Chicago's B96 Jingle Bash on December 7.

While the performances are likely to be brief and only include a handful of songs the concerts do represent Swift's first concerts since a special Super Bowl week show in Houston in February.

The concerts are teen-targeted, multi-act radio station holiday shows and also feature acts like Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Backstreet Boys and Khalid.

A rep for the singer confirmed the concerts but did not respond to Variety's question about a time frame on a full tour announcement.

The singer has been unexpectedly quiet since the late-summer release of two songs, Look What You Made Me Do and Ready for It, and the announcement that her sixth studio album, Reputation, will be released on November 10.

Very little information about the album has slipped out, journalists writing advance reviews of her last album, 1989, had to listen through headphones on locked iPads under the gaze of a security guard, although the singles were collaborations with the ubiquitious Jack Antonoff and the team of Max Martin, Shellback and Ali Payami, respectively.

It's been three years since Swift debuted the mega-selling 1989, marking her longest break between albums to date.
