Free Seniors Estate Planning; Elder Abuse Information Session
This event is being offered free of charge to seniors and their family members and friends. All are welcome to attend by registering ahead of time. The event will comprise of:- A short presentation delivered by a lawyer on behalf of the FNQLA, addressing what a Will is, what happens if you die without a Will, what an Enduring Power of Attorney is, and what elder abuse is. Lawyers volunteering their time then informally sitting and speaking with attendees, answering any questions that seniors or their family members may have about estate planning. Lastly, a presentation will be delivered by the Cairns Community Legal Centre about scams and how to keep you safe. Following the above formalities, a free morning tea will be served by Cazalys.
