Can you unplug for 24 hours?
There's a global push to unplug our digital devices and reconnect with eachother coming up tomorrow for the 'National Day of Unplugging' - March 6.
For 24 hours, from sunset Friday to sunset on Saturday the challenge is on to collectively have a global respite from technology.
So, no Mobiles, no Social Media, no TV, no Nintendo...no Netflix......
Instead, play a board game with the kids, have people over for BBQ, enjoy a nice bottle of wine with your partner once the kids are in bed, take the dog for a longer walk and just be CONNECTED with humans.
To resist temptation, digitaladdictsblog.com suggests the following:
- Keep the phone away during dinner or any family time.
- Have someone hide all of the devices until the time is over.
- Create a scavenger hunt or list with creative activity alternatives to
- Turn off all of your notifications from non-essential apps
REBOOT with your loved ones and UNPLUG for 24 hours.
Can you do it?
