Maggie Beer's secret Spaghetti Bolognese ingredient


She's a beloved Australian chef, but I'm not sure we'll still think the same after Maggie Beer revealed what she includes in her spaghetti bolognese.

Chicken livers.

Yep, in one of her recent cooking videos, she revealed, 'Livers must be really fresh, and you can make this dish without the livers, I know, but it's that extra bit of iron, extra goodness and extra bit of flavour. It really becomes quite creamy in the end result.'

Other ingredients include your traditional beef and pork mince, red wine, garlic, onion, thyme, parsley, bay leaves, tomato paste, stock, and dried pasta.

What's your secret ingredient?
