Are you worried Tom Gleeson's Cairns jokes will be taken seriously by tourists?
Comedian Tom Gleeson is not a popular man in Cairns at the moment.
Our tropical home was the subject of his sarcastic grilling in the funny, opinion piece,'Go Away' on Charlie Pickering's show, 'The Weekly'.
He asked why would you want to live in a town with the "same weather as a human armpit" and suggested our lagoon was full of rooting backpackers.
But it's his jokes about a dying Great Barrier Reef that has left some tourist operators wondering if tourists, local and international alike, will believe that we're no longer a reef destination.
What do you think?
Will his comments be taken seriously?
