Sleeping Beauty Syndrome - how many hours this 18yr old needs
Imagine feeling endlessly tired and sleeping through most of the day?
18-year-old law student Megan Firth suffers from a rare condition called 'Sleeping Beauty Syndrome'and as a result needs to sleep sometimes up to 20 hours a day!
Her hypersomnia was first diagnosed in 2013 and only affects one person in every million. Megan's long slumbers means she spends months in bed; only rising to use the bathroom and eat.
It means spending less time in the classroom and with her friends but that hasn't stopped Megan managing to get a place at Nottingham University to study law.
