Severe thunderstorms have drenched parts of the Cassowary Coast and Tablelands.
Rainfall totals above 300mm have been recorded in places like Japoonvale, Corsis and Rankin Creek overnight.
The wider region saw rainfall totals between 170-340mm, raising river levels.

Flood warnings have been issued for the Tully River, Johnstone River and Russell River.
