Police officers involved in the recovery of four puppies stolen from Edmonton have been reunited with the young golden retrievers.
The puppies were stolen from their home on November 15.
The puppies’ owner Andrea White has thanked the community for their support and says she was impressed by the quick police response.
“I’ve had constant contact from the police checking to see that I’m well and that I’m fine, so it’s been really lovely,” Andrea says.
“The pups have all grown so much and they are very happy and healthy which is fantastic, couldn’t have asked for better.”
The four allegedly stolen puppies, along with a vehicle and jewellery were recovered by police and returned to the owner.
Detectives from the Property Crime Unit have charged a 15-year-old Bentley Park boy with further offences following investigations into the alleged theft of the four puppies.
The boy has been charged with animal cruelty and three counts of breaching bail.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
In total, police have charged seven teenagers aged between 15 and 18 years with a range of offences relating to the theft of the puppies, burglary, and theft of property.
