A manhunt is underway after a man escaped a far north prison this morning.
28-year-old Henry Alexander Peters has absconded from the Lotus Glen Correctional Centre near Mareeba.
He is currently serving two years for break and enter dwelling with violence or threats.

Police and Queensland Corrective Services officers are investigating the escape and have urged the public not to approach him and immediately call Triple Zero if you see him.
