A teenage boy is facing manslaughter charges after a man was hit and killed by a vehicle at Manunda.
It’s alleged around 7.45pm Saturday, the 16-year-old chased the 48-year-old onto the intersection of Alfred Street and Mayers Street, before he pushed and assaulted the man on the roadway.
Police say the man was left on the roadway before he was struck by a vehicle travelling along the road a short time later.

Emergency services arrived a short time later, and the 48-year-old man was declared dead at the scene.
It’s believed the pair were known to each other.
Cairns Detectives yesterday arrested and charged the 16-year-old Manoora boy with manslaughter.
His bail was refused, and he is due to face Cairns Childrens Court.
Investigations are ongoing.
