A 21-year-old woman accused of starting a fire in a Cairns North unit complex has been charged.
It’s alleged the woman set fire to a inside a unit around 1.40pm yesterday.
Emergency crews extinguished the blaze and no one was physically injured.
A crime scene was declared, and the 21-year-old woman was arrested in relation to the incident.
Police conducted a pat-down search where it will be further alleged, officers located a quantity of drugs.
The 21-year-old been charged with one count each of arson and possess dangerous drugs.
She is due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court today.
