A 25-year-old White Rock woman was arrested and charged on Friday following her alleged involvement in a string of incidents across the area between May 2 and last Friday.

Some of the alleged incidents include crashing a stolen car into another vehicle at roadworks at Craiglie and forcing another vehicle to leave the road and overturn at Bonnie Doon on May 2, as well as dangerous driving incidents at Smithfield and Kuranda on Friday.

The woman was arrested at a Mareeba address just after 2pm on Friday.

She was subsequently charged with a total of 15 offences, including two counts each of:

  • dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
  • dangerous operation of a motor vehicle whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and;
  • unlicenced driving.

She was also charged with single counts of:

  • attempted arson;
  • failing to stop at a traffic incident;
  • failing to comply with duties when involved in a traffic crash;
  • possession of a danger drug;
  • possession of drug utensils;
  • drug driving;
  • unlawful use of a motor vehicle;
  • stealing
  • possession of tainted property

The woman is due to reappear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court today.
