Fraud charges, Cairns

Cairns detectives investigating the alleged theft of a credit card and subsequent fraudulent transactions executed a search warrant at a property in McLeod Street, Cairns yesterday.

Police will also allege they located a quantity of drug paraphernalia at the home.

It will be alleged the credit card was stolen on May 20 before being dishonestly used.

A 47-year-old Cairns man has been charged with one count each of stealing, fraud and possess utensils.

A 26-year-old Cairns man was also charged with one count of fraud relating to the same credit card.

Both men are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on July 10.
