Adani fought to suppress reef dump details
Indian mining giant Adani fought to conceal details about heavily polluted water it dumped in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area, conservationists say.
The Mackay Conservation Group has released documents obtained under freedom of information showing the miner fought to suppress details about the dumping from its Abbot Point coal terminal in 2017.
Adani is fighting a $12,000 fine it copped over the release and denies breaching a government-issued temporary pollution licence issued when Cyclone Debbie brought flooding rain to Queensland.
