Police are investigating why a sailing boat ran aground near Cape Bedford on September 14.
The 14-metre vessel “Ocean Rambler” was sailing from Vanuatu to Australia.
A 62-year-old American man was the sole occupant and last made a record on September 10.

A police search of the area on Sunday morning came up empty.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
