Cairns Art Society 78th Annual Awards Exhibition The Cairns Art Society presents its 78th Annual Awards Exhibition at the Cairns Art Gallery, running from 31 January to 8 March 2026, with an opening night on Friday 30 January at 5:30pm.

With over $9,000 in prizes, the exhibition showcases outstanding works by local artists from across Far North Queensland.

All artworks will be available for sale, and the exhibition is open to the public.

Established in 1931, the Cairns Art Society is Australia’s oldest art society and plays a significant role in Cairns’ cultural history as the city celebrates its 150th anniversary.
