As part of National Apprenticeship Week (9–15 February), the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET), in partnership with TAFE Queensland, is thrilled to host the “Give a Shout Apprentice BBQ” at the TAFE Queensland Cairns Campus on Thursday, 12 February from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

This free community event aims to celebrate apprenticeships and provide a relaxed space for apprentices to connect with local organisations, learn about available services, and explore opportunities to support their career journeys.

Employers & apprentices are invited to join us and celebrate their roles in building the skills and confidence of individuals – and strengthening the industries and local economy.
