What are we fundraising for?
We are raising funds to purchase new bedside ultrasound equipment for the Sub‑Acute Care Unit on Oregon Street. This unit operates as an external ward of Cairns Hospital, providing essential care for older people and patients undergoing rehabilitation.
This upgraded technology will enable clinicians to perform quick, comfortable, and accurate assessments right at the bedside – reducing delays, improving patient comfort, and supporting faster, better‑informed clinical decisions.
How to get started
- Register: Experience the beauty of the Wangetti Trail on a relaxed 2–3-hour hike. All ages welcome.
- Fundraise: Participants are required to raise a minimum of $100 per person. Your fundraising helps improve health outcomes across Far North Queensland.
- Walk: Step up and walk for a good cause. Walk with your friends, family, colleagues, or head out on your own – however you choose to take part, you’ll be soaking up the beauty of our stunning backyard.
