Police have declared a crime scene at Earlville after two men were seriously injured in an assault at a fast‑food restaurant just before 6.30am. Officers say two unknown offenders entered the Mulgrave Road outlet and assaulted three people, with police providing first aid to two men at the scene — one suffering a serious head injury and the other being treated for a chest wound.
Public transport around Earlville Shopping Town may be disrupted this morning, with the bus stop outside the centre affected.
Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
