2025 Cairns Maritime Careers Expo, to be held on Saturday, 8 November at the Portsmith Marine Precinct and Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron.

The Expo highlights workforce opportunities across defence sustainment, superyachts, shipping, marine tourism, commercial, advanced manufacturing and marine science.

This year’s event lands at a critical time, with workforce demand accelerating across Defence sustainment, superyachts, shipping, marine tourism, advanced manufacturing and marine science.

Employers, training providers and universities will be on site, connecting directly with high school and university students, aspiring apprentices, career changers, skilled migrants and transitioning Defence personnel.

The program includes shipyard tours, on-water demonstrations, industry panels and interactive simulators. A live jobs board will showcase the scope of jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships, internships and training opportunities.

This event is delivered in partnership with NORSTA Maritime, the Business Liaison Association and Marine Futures.
