Cairns Central Medical is bringing diabetes awareness out into the community with Meet Diabetes… before Diabetes meets you.  Using a fun “matching” theme, our team is inviting people at Cairns Central Shopping Centre to stop, receive a red rose and complete a FREE diabetes risk assessment to find out whether they may be at increased risk.  It only takes a few minutes.  The campaign has a serious purpose: type 2 diabetes can develop quietly, and people may be at increased risk without realising it.

Know your risk.  Get checked.  Get supported.

People identified as requiring further assessment can be assisted with accessing appropriate GP follow-up.
