A 16-year-old girl has been charged after allegedly threatened a group of teenagers with a knife, before robbing them at a Cairns shopping Centre.
The 16-year-old Gordonvale girl will face court this week, charged with three theft related offences. Police officers allege she approached a group of teen girls at Cairns Shopping Centre on Thursday night, threatening them with a knife and demanding they hand over their necklaces and headphones
The girls quickly entered a nearby store and police were called.Police from Cairns Station and the Tactical Crime Squad quickly attended and apprehended the girl and seized the knife and property items, just after 7:30 pm – she will front Cairns Children’s Court on Wednesday.
