It’s been a busy week for police in Cairns, with three young people facing serious charges including an armed robbery in Mount Sheridan, a break and enter in Whitfield and assault in Cairns North.
A 14-year-old boy is in custody after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife, stealing her car, and being linked to multiple recent break-ins and property damage. He’s been denied bail and has appeared in Cairns Children’s Court.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy has been charged over a home break-in and involvement in further property damage and a stolen vehicle. He’s set to appear in court today.
And a 13-year-old girl has been charged after allegedly punching a woman she didn’t know outside a Sheridan Street business. She faces ten offences in total and will reappear in court tomorrow.
