A woman has been killed in a crash at Atherton, with another person left in a serious condition.
Around 2.30pm Saturday, a Landrover Minibus rolled on the Kennedy Highway.
A 91-year-old Yorkeys Knob woman suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
The 89-year-old Yorkeys Knob man driving the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was taken to Atherton Hospital before being airlifted to Cairns Hospital.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
It is the region’s third death on local roads this year.
