Five people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Gordonvale, which has shut the Bruce Highway.
Emergency crews were called to the Highway just after 6am on Thursday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson reports that one person has been rushed to Cairns Hospital in a critical condition.

A second person has serious injuries, a third patient is in a serious but stable condition.
Two other people are in stable conditions and did not require further treatment.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
