A man has died and two others have been rescued after an incident off Yorkey’s Knob.
Police were called to reports a boat was sinking near Double Island around 10pm Sunday.
A search and rescue was launched by Cairns Water Police, with the Rescue 510 assisting with an aerial search.

At approximately 12.45am today, police located an upturned vessel and rescued a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from the water, with paramedics taking the pair to Cairns Hospital stable.
A 54-year-old Napranum man was found dead.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
