A prisoner could be on the lose in the Cairns region, after escaping a low custody prison farm on the Tablelands.
Police have confirmed they’re searching for 43 year old inmate, Michael Rennie, who escaped from Lotus Glen Low Custody Correctional Centre (Male Farm) yesterday.
He is currently serving 6 years 3 months 23 days for a range of offences including serious assault, motor vehicle offences, theft and burglary offences and drugs and weapons offences.
He is described as having a light build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes and is heavily tattooed.
If you see him, police are reminding to public to not approach him and immediately call triple zero.
