A truck driver has been assaulted with a golf club on the Tablelands.
The 59-year-old was driving to work when he saw a man on Patrick Street, Malanda waving the club around 5.50am, Wednesday.
He pulled over to check on the man and was attacked.

Police say the man has then walked off hitting the truck with the club.
The alleged offender is pictured wearing a grey jumper, black shorts, black backpack, caucasian approximately 30-year-old, shaved head and facial hair.
