The diva will rise again.
Miss Piggy is tired of playing second fiddle to Kermit, she is long overdue her own feature film and it’s finally her time to shine. Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed that a Miss Piggy film is on the way from the minds Cole Escola, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence.
During an interview, Lawrence spilt the beans on the project saying:
“I don’t know if I can announce this but I am just going to… Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole is writing it… It’s f***** up that we haven’t done a movie together.”
The Muppets first graced us 70 years ago, and in that time we’ve not seen a Miss Piggy led film. The only details we know about the Miss Piggy film is that Disney would be making the film, and that it’ll be written by Cole Escola with Stone and Lawrence to produce. Other than that details are scarce, Lawrence joked that Stone and herself may appear in the film. Besides this a Disney+ special is coming in 2026 with featuring guest star Sabrina Carpenter.
