An elderly woman has been injured in an attempted robbery and assault at a Parramatta Park fast-food restaurant.
It’s alleged the 72-year-old woman was approached by another woman, believed to be in her 20s, and was punched in the head several times at 2.15pm on May 1.
The younger woman demanded she give her a scooter and a struggle ensued, during which the woman received multiple punches to the head.
A member of the public came to her assistance, and the younger woman fled the scene on foot.
The alleged offender is described as about 20-years-old with a dark complexion, her hair in a bun, and was wearing a dark shirt and white pants.
Investigators are appealing for the woman, or anyone who recognises her or as further information to contact police.
The 72-year-old woman received medical treatment for facial injuries and continues to be supported.
