Man fighting for life after single-vehicle crash with tree

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a single-vehicle collision with a tree on the Kennedy Highway, overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Gunnawarra at around 2.30am.

The adult male patient was airlifted to Cairns Hospital with a life-threatening head injury.
