A girl accused of stabbing a woman has been charged in Cairns.
It’s alleged an argument turned physical between a 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman on the Cairns Esplanade around 2.45pm on Sunday.

Police say the girl stabbed the 18-year-old in the back with a knife and fled the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to Cairns Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers charged the 14-year-old girl with wounding after she handed herself in.
Her bail was opposed and she will appear before Cairns Children’s Court at a later date.
