Police investigate assault threat on bus in Cairns

Appeals for information after a man threatened to assault a teenager on a bus at Earlville.

Initial investigations indicate around 6.20am on March 12, a man boarded a bus at Mulgrave Road and threatened a teenage boy not known to him.

The bus continued along the route for a short distance before the man got off the bus near the service station at Woree.

No one was physically injured.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with investigations.

The man is described as being of a solid build, approximately 180cm tall and was wearing a white t-shirt, black bum bag and Nike sneakers.

The man also had tattoo of a snake on his left forearm.

Anyone with relevant information or vision is urged to come forward.
